A Holistic Fitness Experience Now Available at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar
F45 Training has officially opened its first on-base FS8 studio at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar in San Diego, California. This new FS8 location joins the existing on-base F45 Training studio, offering military members and their families access to a comprehensive fitness solution that balances high-intensity interval training with low-impact, mind-body workouts.
The FS8 program is a unique blend of Pilates, tone, and yoga designed to improve flexibility, strength, mobility, and mental resilience—key traits for the demanding life of service members. FS8’s science-backed, low-impact training approach complements the functional strength and endurance focus of F45, creating a well-rounded fitness experience for MCAS residents.
Michael Nichols, Director of Military Operations for F45 Training, emphasized the importance of supporting the military community:

Approved by the Department of Defense, this initiative helps active-duty service members transition to civilian life by equipping them with leadership skills and career opportunities within the F45 network. Since its launch, F45 SkillBridge has trained over 1,000 participants, with many moving into roles as trainers, studio managers, or franchise owners.
